Dialogue with American Top High Schools

As the education reformation in China is developing rapidly, the topic of international education continues to heat up. On May 27, Qingdao Chaoyin School gladly invited the education experts from TBI International Education Group to join the event, “Face to Face with American Top High Schools”, at the office building of Bandao Daily. It was the first time for this kind of events to be held in Qingdao, rather than the first tier cities, such as Beijing or Shanghai. The event attracted a full room of the local families to visit.

During the information exchange session in the morning, all the students/parents, the education experts from American top high schools and the school representatives from QCIS had shared and discussed about various issues related to international education. The communication is quite heated up and the parents received detailed explanation from the education experts with regard to their concerns over their children’s overseas study in the future. The school representatives from QCIS, who are experienced in the area of International Bacclaureate education, also shared their thoughts in reference to the advantage of IB education, such as inquiry-based learning and holistic education. Also, the students from QCIS won praises from the education experts of American top high schools for their fluent oral English and good demonstration of knowledge about international education.

In the afternoon, the education experts from the USA visited Qingdao Chaoyin Primary School. They firstly observed the class of Grade 2 International Class. The school received highly praise from the experts for the curriculum design and the good teacher-student interaction during the class, “these children are thinking critically and communicating fluently. If they were transferred to a local school in the US and studying with the same-aged students, they would have no problem with catching up. There should be no barrier in communication”.

Afterwards, the Adminitrative Principal of Qingdao Chaoyin School, Ms. Pan, and the Vice Principal of Qingdao Chaoyin Primary School, Ms. Wang held talks with the education experts from the US. Both parties have expressed their willingness in further discussion and future cooperation regarding international education, exchange students program, and etc.

In the past, Qingdao Chaoyin School has held several educational exchange activities using its abundant and reliable resources in reference to international education. For example, “Dialogue with Havard University and Standford University”, “American Visa Officer’s School Visit”, “Sister School in Wesminster, Australia”, “Education Experts from Finland” and etc. In future, Chaoyin is about to set up its overseas branch in Canada and continue providing pioneering education for more students and parents.
